4th Grade Public Elementary School Classroom


Hardware

  • Elmo Document Camera and Projector ($1,407.60)

    • The Elmo Document Camera performs the same task as an overhead projector without the requirement of using transparencies. With the projector, a teacher can present a wide variety of documents to the class, as well as demonstrate instructions for worksheets. The projector can also be used alongside the teacher's computer for power point and video presentations.
  • Set of 30 IClickers ($990)

    • IClickers are a fun, interactive way for an educator to gather student opinions and test for grasp of concept. They allow the educator to see how the class responds to a multiple choice question without having to signal out any specific student.
  • Epson Nx625 C11CA7021 All in one Printer/Scanner Wireless ($79.99)

    • This printer is needed for the classroom because the students and teacher will need to print test, worksheets, homework, etc. After working on the computers, printing is essential for turning in assignments and make grading easier. It is best to have a scanner too because worksheets can be made for the classroom and copies could be made without leaving the classroom.
  • Wireless Router ($250)

    • A wireless router is needed because it makes internet use in the classroom more convenient. With wireless, we can move computers around for group activities if needed.
  • 5 Hp 100BXZ812UT all in one PCs ($1,650)

    • The computers are great to have in the classroom to facilitate learning in all subject areas. Students can utilize the computers to search the Internet, use software and practice typing skills. This is a great way for them to get hands on learning and develop skills that they will later need. Computers are a part of everyday life and children should start to learn how to utilize them best at a young age.
  • Sony Cybershot W530 14.1 Megapixel Digital Camera ($130)

    • The digital camera is a needed asset to the classroom because it allows the teacher to document any activity or project kids are working on. These pictures can be presented to parents or hung around the room for decoration. The camera can also be used for students to take pictures of different items they might want to use on a project or activity.
  • Logitech Speaker System ($10)

    • Used to amplify sound in presentations from the teachers computer, in conjunction with a projector.
  • 30 Learning Resources Primary Calculators ($135)

    • Calculators are needed for the classroom, and since we have enough for each student, everyone can be working with the same one.
  • 10 Sets of Headphones ($90)

    • Headphones will be beneficial in the classroom because it allows the students to use the curriculum-base audio software programs without disrupting other students with the sound.

Software

  • 5 Microsoft Office Software ($400)

    • Microsoft Office is a collection of very beneficial programs for the classroom because it gives us access to a large amount of technology that can be used in our class. We can create spreadsheets newsletters, PowerPoints, and more. By introducing this program, the students get to know the software they will use in their future.
  • 5 Kidspiration Software ($300)

    • This would be great to have so kids could create visual biographies for historical figures, make writing webs, or plan for any other type of assignment.
  • 5 Math Blaster Software ($300)

    • Math Blaster is a great way to help kids learn math without feeling forced. Educational games really do make the learning process a lot more fun. The kids could play on this software a couple times a week and the games on there would reinforce our lessons.

Extras

  • Printer Ink ($223) and a Case of Paper ($40)

    • We decided to buy extra ink and paper so we'll have printer supplies financially taken care of for as long as possible.
